Take 27 have made a first draft of the photo-montage filming we carried out yesterday, Sunday 30 September. The attempt to make 30 people look like a congregation of 150 is really taking shape.
Information posted by the Friends of George Street about events and activities at the former Independent Methodist Chapel at George Street, Oldham by Age UK Oldham. The early posts describe the works to conserve, restore and adapt this Grade ll* Listed Building betwee 2012-13. Restoration works were supported by a grant from the HLF, with match funding from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Challenge Fund, English Heritage and the Architectural Heritage Fund as well as Viridor Credits and Lloyds Bank.
This is a test to primarily establish line-up of each section. We filmed six separate groups in various locations in the chapel, and this is a draft composite which we use to see how it looks, roughly, and also to establish what we need to do to hide modern fittings, and indeed damage to walls, etc. We have also applied some colour grading; note the difference in contrast and tone between the raw plate as filmed, on top, and the composite below that.
ReplyDeleteBear in mind also that this is a still composite. The final will be a 30secs or so movie clip which will form part of the story of the centenary in 1916.
Visual effects is as much a tool for bringing the past to life as it is for blockbuster movies.
Julian.
Such a difference between the before and after. Can't wait to see the finished film.
